Job summary

Magical Beginnings Learning Centers is hiring a Massachusetts EEC Director II–certified Assistant Center Director to lead our brand-new Georgetown, MA location opening January 2027. As Assistant Director, you’ll shape the center’s culture, support the teaching team, and build meaningful relationships with families from day one.

Qualifications

• Massachusetts EEC Director II certification is required.
• Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related degree with relevant experience.
• 2–4 years of leadership experience in daycare, preschool, or early childhood setting.
• Strong knowledge of EEC compliance, licensing, and childcare regulations.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification, active continuing education, and an updated State Registry.
• Experience with enrollment management and staff leadership.
• Commitment to high-quality early childhood education.

Responsibilities

• Oversee center operations and ensure MA EEC compliance and licensing.
• Ensure state-mandated ratio compliances and safety/education regulations.
• Prepare for licensure visits and communicate with licensors.
• Maintain compliant staff and child files; conduct monthly fire drills.
• Schedule staff within payroll budgets while meeting standards.
• Supervise and coach teaching staff to build a cohesive team.
• Manage staffing, scheduling, and classroom ratios during ramp-up.
• Support developmentally and multicultural curriculum; track progress in Teacher Strategies Gold.
• Conduct monthly staff meetings and parent meetings as needed.
• Partner with families to build communications and drive enrollment.
