Job summary

Fisher Phillips’s New Jersey office is seeking a Senior Litigation Associate with 5+ years of defense-side complex litigation experience to manage matters independently and contribute to firm growth.

Responsibilities include drafting pleadings, managing discovery and e-discovery, handling motions, depositions, mediations and trials, and mentoring junior attorneys. Bar admissions in NJ and NY required; employment law experience preferred but not required.

New Jersey – Senior Litigation Associate

The rapidly growing New Jersey office of Fisher Phillips is seeking a Senior Litigation Associate with 5+ years of defense-side complex litigation experience. Ideal candidates will bring meaningful experience managing sophisticated matters independently, as well as a desire to grow a book of business.

About the Role

Qualified candidates will have significant experience handling complex litigation matters from inception through resolution, including:

• Drafting and responding to pleadings
• Managing written and electronic discovery, including e-discovery strategy
• Drafting and arguing dispositive and non-dispositive motions
• Taking and defending depositions
• Leading or substantially participating in mediations and trials
• Mentoring junior attorneys and collaborating with litigation teams

While prior employment law experience is preferred, we are equally interested in senior litigators from other defense-side complex litigation practices who demonstrate a strong interest in developing an employment law practice and contributing to firm growth.

The yearly salary range for this position is $195,000 - $215,000+. Actual base pay within this range will be determined by several components, including but not limited to, relevant experience, internal equity, skills, qualifications, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
