Job summary

Hanwha Q CELLS America Inc. seeks a Solar Activation Specialist to lead activation and commissioning support for solar and battery systems in new home developments.

You will manage onsite activations, remote PV/ESS activations, and report on field dashboard performance while partnering with Field Managers to ensure timely PTO readiness. The role requires a hands-on construction background, coordination across residential trades, and strong customer relationship skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field with 5+ years of experience, or associate’s degree with 8+ years and 2+ years in solar.
• Strong computer skills, including data entry, email, and navigating CRM platforms.
• Excellent time management and organizational abilities; strong multitasking across calls, emails, and CRM updates.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Customer service experience or related client-facing role.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage a schedule remotely and on-site.

Responsibilities

• Attend new community kickoff meetings and walkthroughs tied to field operations.
• Coordinate with builders, installers, and internal teams to resolve commissioning issues.
• Guide installers and homeowners through commissioning and activation sequences with hands-on troubleshooting.
• Serve as the technical SME on PV and ESS systems for field operations.
• Plan travel routes to maximize site-visit efficiency and hit activation targets.
• Monitor dashboards and maintain accurate activation documentation in Salesforce.
