Job summary

Perdue Foods in Virginia is seeking a New Hire Trainer to introduce new associates to the skills, safety practices, and production knowledge they need to succeed. You’ll guide team members through hands-on training, coach proper work techniques, and reinforce safe and efficient job habits.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months of consecutive work history with one employer within the past 3 years in a comparable field.
• 6 months of training experience.
• Bilingual in Haitian Creole/English preferred.

Responsibilities

• Introduce associates to their jobs, including basic training, rotation procedures, safety work habits, and clock-in/out procedures.
• Maintain a skill level at or above the required certification level for all positions.
• Be able to perform a scrape test and evaluate new associates.
• Review performance with associates and advise of strengths and weaknesses.
• Forward documentation of all evaluations to Supervisor.
• Monitor associate's progress and report to supervisor on a daily basis.
• Facilitate incorporation of associate into work team.
