Job summary

Perdue Foods in Lewiston Woodville, NC, is hiring a New Hire Trainer for 1st Shift in the Marination department. You will lead hands-on training for new associates, teach safety practices, and coach production methods to ensure readiness.

This role focuses on introducing basic skills, rotation procedures, clock-in/out, and maintaining certification compliance while fostering teamwork and a culture of safety and excellence from day one.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months of consecutive work history with one employer within the past 3 years in a comparable field.
• 6 months of training experience.
• High School or equivalent is beneficial but not required.
• Experience in a poultry processing/manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Introduce associates to their jobs, including basic training, rotation procedures, safety work habits, donning and doffing procedures and clock‑in and clock‑out procedures.
• Maintain a skill level at or above the required certification level for all positions.
• Be able to perform a scrape test and evaluate new associates.
• Review performance with associates and advise of strengths and weaknesses.
• Forward documentation of all evaluations to Supervisor.
• Monitor associate's progress and report to supervisor on a daily basis.
• Facilitate incorporation of associate into work team.
