Sally’s Apizza is hiring a Pizza Cook in Norwalk, CT to craft high-quality New Haven–style pizzas in a fast-paced kitchen. You will handle multiple orders, manage prep stations, and help maintain a clean, sanitary workspace while following our classic recipes.

The role requires at least 1 year of pizza-cooking experience, ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs, and flexible availability including weekends and nights.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a pizza cook.
• Hands-on experience with preparing and baking pizza dough.
• Good time-management skills.
• Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends and evenings.

Responsibilities

• Prepare high-quality pizzas.
• Handle multiple food orders at one time.
• Ability to manage others and work on a team.
• Put pizzas in the oven and keep a check on the fire.
• Replace cheeses, sauce, and toppings containers to ensure freshness.
• Label and stock all ingredients on shelves so they can be organized and easily accessible.
• Measure ingredients and seasonings to be used in cooking.
• Prepare cooking ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and other meal prep.
• Set up workstations and ingredients so that food can be prepared according to recipes.
• Ensure that all food and other items are stored properly.
• Complete opening and closing checklists.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation area in all areas of the prep kitchen.
