Job summary

SSH-Springfield is seeking a Pharmacist to support a high-volume hospital pharmacy, including drug distribution, central operations and IV admixture. You will provide clinical support in a fast-paced setting and ensure safe medication use.

New graduates are welcome to apply. The role includes patient discharge counseling, training program participation, and ongoing quality improvement initiatives at a large nationwide health system.

Qualifications

• Requires successful completion of all educational requirements as mandated for state licensure.
• Current State licensure required.
• BLS if required by State.

Responsibilities

• Have working knowledge of drug distribution systems, central operations and IV admixture.
• Provide clinical support of hospital pharmacy function in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintain adequate drug supplies at the pharmacy at all times.
• Inform and instruct patients on drugs to be used after discharge.
• Develop and participate in new employee training and education programs.
• Participate in patient drug therapy monitoring.
• Promote an environment of continuous quality improvement.

Responsibilities
