The Graduate Nurse provides direct patient care activities including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within established nursing standards. This role requires completion of a nursing program and obtaining licensure within 90 days of graduation to maintain employment. The nurse educates patients and families on managing illnesses, performs critical assessments of physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, and develops individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team. They evaluate patient responses, modify care accordingly, and participate in activities promoting patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
