New Graduate Engineer Electrical at our Midlothian Cement Plant in Texas, part of the Amrize Build4Growth program. You will oversee electrical maintenance, plan and execute control system activities, and contribute to reliability and safety initiatives.

You will participate in a 16-month development program designed to build foundational knowledge across cement plant operations, with blended learning and practical on-the-job assignments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or 3 years of equivalent experience.
  • Field of Study Preferred: Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or similar field.
  • 0-3 years of work experience; Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).

Responsibilities

  • Supervise electrical and instrumentation technicians in daily work orders and projects with maintenance coordinator.
  • Lead electrical preventive and predictive maintenance programs including data collection and analysis.
  • Document electrical schematics and manage spare parts inventory; ensure environmental compliance.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and maintain master equipment files and repair history.
  • Evaluate computer control equipment to meet plant requirements and modify control programs.
  • Provide control system training and guidance to plant personnel.
  • Troubleshoot control system hardware and software issues.
  • Support equipment/process modifications to improve reliability and safety.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Electrial Engineer is responsible of all electrical maintenance activities at the plant. Ensure electrical project work is completed is a safe, efficient and timely manner and in compliance with environmental requirements and to work in a cooperative manner to plan, schedule and execute all control system activities in the plant in order to maximize equipment utilization and reliability.

The Electrial Engineer, New Graduate will also be a part of the Amrize Build4Growth Program. This is an extensive, 16-month cement manufacturing learning and development program designed to provide new graduate engineers with foundational knowledge and experience on the main operational areas of our cement plants. This program is built on a blended learning approach including online learning, face-to-face sessions, on-the-job assignments, and projects.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
  • Responsible for supervising the electrical and instrumentation technicians in the execution of daily work orders and projects assigned by the maintenance coordinator. The engineer is responsible for assigning the work to his crew, insuring the work is performed both timely and correctly and the work history is recorded in SAP.
  • Electrical preventive and predictive maintenance programs. This includes conducting systematic inspections on all plant electrical equipment, collection of quantitative data, its’ organization and analysis using a variety of traditional as well as technically advanced diagnostic tools. The electrical engineer shall assess the condition of the process and machinery accurately, assess risk and identify the appropriate corrective actions based on technical analysis and risk management.
  • Responsible for the accurate documentation of electrical schematics and stores spare parts inventory.
  • Ensure all system programming meets with proper environmental compliance.
  • Maintain system documentation including but not limited to master equipment files, regulatory compliance files, equipment specifications, and repair history
  • Evaluate computer control equipment and their components to assure they meet the plant requirements.
  • Define, write and implement changes to existing process control programs.
  • Provide control system training and guidance for plant personnel.
  • Troubleshoot control system hardware and software problems.
  • Participates in defining, developing and executing equipment and process modifications to improve reliability, reduce costs and/or improve safety. Provide electrical knowledge and support for plant maintenance and PLC control projects.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Education: Bachelor's degree or 3 years of equivalent experience.
Field of Study Preferred: Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or similar field.
Required Work Experience: 0-3 years Required Computer and Software Skills: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)Travel Requirements: 5%
