About the Role

The Mechanical Engineer will provide support to the operation and maintenance of the plant’s equipment and be responsible for creating, implementing, and monitoring Condition Based Maintenance (CBM) programs.

The candidate will also participate in the Amrize Build4Growth Program, a 16‑month cement manufacturing learning and development program designed to give new graduate engineers foundational knowledge and experience on the main operational areas of our cement plants.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Work closely with equipment suppliers and plant staff to ensure successful operation of the plant.
  • Monitor reliability-based systems including preventative maintenance systems, vibration analysis, and condition monitoring.
  • Participate in the creation of preventative maintenance routines (PMRs) and bills of materials (BOMs) for new equipment.
  • Manage preventive/predictive maintenance programs (Inspection, Vibration, Oil Analysis, NDT, thermography, etc.) to ensure optimum equipment availability.
  • Analyze and eliminate repetitive problems through root cause analysis, Pareto analysis, statistical review, FMEA and similar techniques.
  • Support and guide sustainable improvements in Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) of major equipment.
  • Facilitate continuous improvement processes around equipment availability and reliability.
  • Coordinate SAP system operations regarding preventive maintenance routine (PMR) optimization and development with maintenance planners.
  • Provide technical support, training and development for maintenance functions, focusing on entrenching reliability concepts within the maintenance group.
What We Are Looking For
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a similar field; 0–3 years of post‑graduate experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Travel requirement: 5 %.
  • Demonstrated commitment to health, safety and environmental policies, and adherence to safety protocols, including proper use of Holcim approved Personal Protection Equipment (PPE).
  • Ability to communicate effectively, identify and resolve safety concerns, and promote a culture of safety.
