Job summary

Together AI in San Francisco is seeking an early career Software Engineer to design scalable systems, build features, and optimize performance. You’ll work across ML, platform, infra, and inference teams, gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced startup environment.

This on-site role welcomes recent graduates with strong CS fundamentals and a passion for learning; you’ll contribute to real projects, participate in code reviews, and own pieces of end-to-end development.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a CS/SE degree, expected by Summer 2027.
• Strong CS fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, systems thinking.
• Internships, personal projects, or prior roles with hands-on tech.
• Experience with Git and collaborative development workflows.
• Creative problem solving and clear trade-off communication.
• Eagerness to learn in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Bonus: web development, databases, distributed systems, or OSS contributions.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality software across our tech stack from low-level system to customer-facing UIs.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver features and improvements.
• Take high autonomy over your work - own projects end to end
• Participate in code reviews, debugging, and performance optimization.
• Contribute ideas to shape the direction of our products and technical infrastructure.
• Work on real, meaningful projects and learn from experienced professionals along the way.
