Job summary

Scale AI is seeking a New Grad Software Engineer in San Francisco to own meaningful customer-facing work from day one, shipping products and iterating quickly. You will talk to customers, collaborate with teams, and contribute to building scalable AI data and tooling.

The role expects a Fall 2026 or Spring 2027 graduation with a relevant BS and prior internship experience. Company offers comprehensive benefits and equity opportunities; relocation and visa support may be discussed.

Qualifications

Graduation Fall 2026 or Spring 2027 with a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
Product engineering experience such as building web apps full-stack and integrating with APIs/services.
Previous Product/Software Engineering internship experience.
Track record of shipping high-quality products and features at scale.

Responsibilities

Build reinforcement learning and post-training data pipelines.
Develop evaluation infrastructure for enterprise and public sector customers.
Ship agentic AI applications and tooling that are observable, testable, and safe to deploy.
Create UI/UX tooling for Scale's contributors.
Develop fraud-detection systems to ensure trustworthy contributor base.
Estimate quality of tasks and contributors at scale.
Design matching algorithms to pair contributors with customers for turnaround and accuracy.
Develop AI infrastructure products to visualize, query, and explore Scale data.
