Job summary

Mach Industries in Huntington Beach, CA, is seeking a New Graduate Software Engineer to help power our autonomous defense systems. You will design, build, and test mission-critical software across real-time embedded platforms and autonomy applications.

You will collaborate with software, GNC, embedded, and hardware teams to deliver high-performance systems, write clean C++, Rust, Python, or C code, and contribute to simulation, testing, and CI/CD environments.

Qualifications

• Substantial software project experience (capstone, internship, research, student design, or personal project).
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field; graduating by Dec 2026 or Jan 2027.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain software for autonomous defense platforms with focus on performance and reliability.
• Design and implement clean, efficient, well-tested code in C++, Rust, Python, or C.
• Develop software across the stack from embedded software to higher-level autonomy applications.
• Collaborate with GNC, embedded, systems, and hardware engineers to integrate software with electromechanical systems.
• Optimize software for real-time execution and low-latency on resource-constrained platforms.
• Build simulation, testing, and development infrastructure to accelerate software delivery.
• Debug and troubleshoot complex software and hardware-software integration issues.
• Develop automated tests and contribute to CI/CD pipelines for quality and velocity.
• Contribute to software architecture decisions as systems evolve.
