Forage in New York is seeking recent graduates to join small, focused teams, ship impactful features, and grow through code. You'll contribute across the development lifecycle, from implementation to launch, and receive thoughtful feedback in code reviews.

What We Are Looking For

We're looking for recent college graduates excited to join small, focused teams, ship impactful features, and empower others through code. You'll have the opportunity to learn and grow while building user-friendly features with high technical standards. Your day-to-day will include giving and receiving thoughtful feedback in code reviews, contributing to technical designs, and ensuring the systems your team operates are reliable, scalable, and user-friendly. You'll be involved in the entire development lifecycle, from implementation to launch.

If you join the backend team, you'll primarily work with Python and frameworks like Django. On the frontend team, you'll work with TypeScript and contribute to our Android or iOS SDKs. You'll collaborate on cross-functional projects with engineers, product managers, and operations teams to ship impactful features. Along the way, you'll develop skills in project management and technical leadership, gaining the confidence to take ownership of projects from start to finish, while also empowering more Americans to access food.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree in computer science, software engineering or a directly related field.
• Experience from previous internships or extensive school project experience that included collaboration with other engineers
• Love of learning new and desire to grow in a dynamic environment
• General software engineering knowledge paired with a specialized area of interest and expertise, for example frontend development

Our Offer

This role is Hybrid in New York or San Francisco, we will consider remote within North America on a case-by-case basis. We define hybrid as 2-3 days in office.

Your base salary would fall within the bands below. Please keep in mind that the equity portion of your offer is not included in these numbers and represents a significant part of your total compensation.

• Expected salary range: $125k-$145k USD base salary, plus equity and benefits. Depending on Experience

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries at our headquarters in San Francisco, California. Individual pay is determined by work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
