Job summary

Cleveland Clinic’s New Graduate RN role is based on our Main Campus trauma ICU with a one-year Nurse Residency program. You’ll work with experienced nurses and a multidisciplinary team to build critical care foundations and clinical judgment.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing.
• Current state RN licensure.
• BLS certification through AHA or Red Cross.
• ACLS certification through AHA or Red Cross upon hire or within first year.
• New grad or RN with ≤1 year clinical inpatient experience.

Responsibilities

• Participate in a residency core curriculum based on individual learning needs.
• Provide direct nursing care alongside a success coach.
• Establish and/or revise priorities for patient care (acuity of need, patient preference and resource availability).
• Respond to data indicating risk to patients’ health and initiate action to correct, reduce or prevent risk.
• Seek supervision, consultation and assistance when unable to perform safely and independently.
• Document in patients’ medical records.
