Job summary

UNC Health Caldwell Memorial Hospital in Lenoir, NC is hiring a Clinical Nurse (RN) for the Operating Room. This full-time role offers 40 hours per week, day schedule, onsite work, and a competitive hourly salary range of $32.55 to $41.77, with pay determined by experience and equity.

The nurse will provide competent clinical care, participate in interdisciplinary teams, and support education and discharge planning. RN licensure in NC and BLS are required; no prior experience is necessary.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in NC required.
• BLS for Healthcare Provider certification required.
• No prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Education: participate in learning programs and assess readiness to learn of patient/family/caregivers.
• Evaluation of care: identify outcomes and support interdisciplinary evaluation.
• Implementation: provide competent care for patients with complex needs and coordinate care.
• Leadership: support unit goals, promote safety and cost-effective care.
• Patient assessment: assess needs and plan appropriate care.
• Planning: collaborate with patient/family to update care plan and coordinate resources.
• Research: stay informed on relevant journals and practices.
