North Country Healthcare, Inc. is seeking a Registered Nurse – New Graduate to participate in a comprehensive orientation, mentorship, and simulation experiences to bridge from student to practicing professional.

The role emphasizes patient care delivery under supervision while developing critical clinical skills. You will engage in a structured learning path with preceptors, gain confidence in diverse clinical settings, and pursue continued professional development in a dynamic healthcare

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program with an ADN or BSN.
• Current and valid RN license or eligibility to obtain an RN license in the practicing state.
• BLS or Heartsaver CPR AED certification with renewal on a regular basis, with up to a three-month grace period after expiration.

Responsibilities

• Participate in a formal orientation program with hands-on training and simulation sessions.
• Deliver patient care under supervision of experienced nurses following protocols and procedures.
• Engage in simulation training to develop clinical and decision-making skills.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to create and implement patient care plans.
• Monitor and record patients’ vital signs and report significant changes to the team.
• Educate patients and families on health conditions, post-treatment care, and preventive strategies.
• Assist with procedures and management of medical equipment as required.
• Document patient care activities accurately in electronic medical records.
• Reflect on practice and receive feedback from mentors to enhance growth.
• Attend workshops and other educational opportunities for ongoing development.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with legal and ethical nursing standards.
• Respond to patient requests with empathy and high-quality service.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care.
