You will provide high-quality care for intermediate-acuity patients transitioning from critical care to Med/Surg, and collaborate with physicians and nurses to optimize outcomes. Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- MO RN license (or compact) required.
- BSN preferred.
- Current BLS certification required.
- ACLS/NIHSS/PCCN or other Stepdown-related certifications preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality care for intermediate-acuity patients transitioning from critical care to Med/Surg level.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care using evidence-based practices.
- Perform accurate hand-offs and bedside shift reporting to maintain patient safety.
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practitioners, and multidisciplinary teams to optimize outcomes.
- Administer medications and monitor complex conditions (cardiac, respiratory, post‑ICU).
- Engage in huddles, governance activities, and unit-based quality improvement.
