Job summary

The New Grad RN Resident position in the Thoracic Stepdown unit at Cleveland Clinic's Main Campus is ideal for recent nursing graduates seeking to develop clinical skills in a supportive, residency-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (Diploma, ADN, or BSN) required.
• New graduate RN or less than one year of RN work experience required.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) required; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS preferred within first year in a Critical Care area.

• Participate in a residency core curriculum based on individual learning needs.
• Provide direct nursing care alongside a success coach.
• Establish and/or revise priorities for patient care based on acuity, patient preference, and resource availability.
• Respond to data indicating risk to patients’ health and initiate action to correct, reduce, or prevent risk.
