Job summary

Marymount Hospital, part of the Cleveland Clinic system, is seeking an RN Resident to support direct patient care from admission to discharge and to participate in a structured one-year residency with nine tracks, simulations, and hands-on training.

Qualified candidates are new graduates or with <1 year RN experience, hold an RN license, and have BLS. The role offers night or rotating shifts and robust benefits including loan repayment, tuition reimbursement, and relocation support.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
• New graduate RN OR less than one year of RN work experience.

Responsibilities

• Participate in a residency core curriculum based on individual learning needs.
• Provide direct nursing care alongside a success coach.
• Establish and/or revise priorities for patient care such as acuity of need, patient preference and resource availability.
• Initiate and/or maintain interventions to assure continuity of safe/effective care for patients.
• Respond to data indicating risk to patients’ health and initiate action to correct, reduce or prevent risk.
• Seek supervision, consultation and assistance when unable to perform safely and independently.
• Comply with established hospital/departmental personnel policies.
• Use communication strategies to achieve desirable outcomes.
• Document patients’ medical records.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

A caregiver in this position can either work nights from 7:00PM - 7:30AM or works rotating day/night from 7:00 p.m. - 7:30 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. - 7:30 p.m. with every other weekend and holiday rotation requirements.

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Physical Requirements:

• Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patient, manual and finger dexterity, and eye‑hand coordination.
• Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time.
• Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
• Requires working under stressful conditions and irregular hours.
• Exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids.
• Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
• Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.

Personal Protective Equipment:

• Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.

Pay Range

Minimum hourly: $35.50

Maximum hourly: $55.60
