Job summary

Cleveland Clinic South Pointe Hospital in Beachwood, OH seeks a Registered Nurse to join a Magnet-designated team delivering exceptional patient care with state-of-the-art technology and comprehensive support.

As an RN on this surgical care team, you will assist surgeons, prepare instrumentation, document in the medical record, and participate in a one-year Nurse Residency program with dedicated tracks and mentoring.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
• New grad or less than one year RN work experience or moving from non-inpatient to acute direct care with less than one year of acute direct care RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Participate in a residency core curriculum based on surgery core learning needs.
• Provide direct nursing care alongside a success coach.
• Establish and/or revise priorities for patient care (acuity of need, patient preference and resource availability).
• Respond to data indicating risk to patients’ health and initiate action to correct, reduce or prevent risk.
• Seek supervision, consultation and assistance when unable to perform safely and independently.
• Document in patients’ medical records.
