Job summary

Prisma Health in Easley, SC, is seeking a Graduate Nurse for the Nurse Residency Program at Baptist Easley Hospital in the Med Surg/Telemetry unit. You will work under the Clinical Education Team to refine nursing knowledge and complete clinical competencies and validations.

You will participate in professional development activities, adhere to policy and patient confidentiality, and support the care team in managing clinical situations under licensed RN supervision.

Qualifications

• Education - ADN required; graduate of accredited nursing program per State Board of Nursing.
• BSN degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Takes patient data, conducts nursing assessments under licensed RN supervision.
• Develops plan of care with patient/family and coordinates referrals.
• Delivers care and explains procedures following standards; provides discharge teaching.
• Documents care and monitors changes with RN guidance.
• Delegates under nursing process and participates in QA and staffing observations.
• Graduate Nurse completes clinical skills under supervision; performs other duties as assigned.

Education

Associate degree in Nursing

Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing program approved by the State Board of Nursing

Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred
