Job summary

Prisma Health is seeking a Graduate Nurse for the Nurse Residency Program at Laurens County Hospital. You will work under the supervision of a licensed RN, refining nursing knowledge and completing required competencies and validations.

You must follow policy, protect patient confidentiality, and adhere to infection control and medication administration standards. You will participate in professional development workshops and peer support groups while delivering care in the Cardiac Telemetry

Qualifications

• Education - Associate degree in Nursing. Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing. Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
• Experience - No previous experience is required. Candidates with greater than 12 months of experience are not eligible.

Responsibilities

• Attend and complete all clinical competencies and validation requirements of the Nurse Residency Program.
• Under direct supervision of a licensed RN, participate in managing clinical situations and patient care.
• Perform nursing care per plan of care, document appropriately, and communicate patient status and needs.
• Contribute to discharge teaching and ensure patient/family involvement in care planning.
• Adhere to licensure, policy, infection control, privacy and time–attendance requirements.

Education

Associate degree in Nursing

Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
