Job summary
Mercy Joplin & Carthage Communities is seeking 2026/2027 nursing grads to join our residency program. Start your career as a registered nurse with a structured orientation and unit-specific sessions to support your transition from student to bedside care.
We interview for multiple units including Surgical Cardiac, Ortho/Neuro, Surgical, Medical Cardiac, Renal Oncology, Behavioral Health, Step Down/ICU & CVI, and MedSurg in Carthage. Mercy offers day-one benefits and a supportive team culture.
Qualifications
- Required Education: 2026/2027 Nursing Grads from an accredited school.
- License: Current RN license in our state and/or compact licensure meeting state board requirements.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association.
Responsibilities
- Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care and maintain confidentiality and patient rights.
- Coordinates patient care with other departments and mentors/ collaborates with direct care givers.
- Incorporates Mercy's mission, values and service standards into daily nursing practice.
