Job summary

HCA Healthcare’s Centerpoint Medical Center offers a Nurse Residency Program designed to transition new graduate nurses from student to registered nurse with hands-on experience, mentorship, and a structured learning path. Start dates occur every two weeks, providing flexibility around graduation.

The program includes advanced clinical training, monthly education, and preceptorship within a supportive nurse-educator community.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required within 30 days of employment.
• ACLS certification required within 1 year of employment.
• Other certifications may be required during employment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver high quality, patient-centered care.
• Assess patient condition during admission and shifts, report changes.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor therapeutic responses.
• Respond promptly to patient requests and anticipate needs.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, plan, medications, and follow-up.
