Job summary

Cleveland Clinic is offering a New Grad RN Resident position in General Internal Medicine at the Main Campus in Cleveland, OH. This full‑time, day‑shift role provides hands‑on patient care experience for recent nursing graduates within a supportive residency program.

You will work closely with a care team, gain exposure to complex multi‑system cases, and participate in a core residency curriculum designed to build foundational nursing competencies and leadership skills.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing.
• BSN preferred.
• New grad or less than one year RN work experience. If experienced RN, must have less than one year current acute direct patient care RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist fellow caregivers in providing exceptional care from initial introduction to discharge.
• Interact directly with patients, families, and visitors to enhance their experience.
• Provide healthcare education as needed.
• Participate in a residency core curriculum based on individual learning needs.
• Provide direct nursing care alongside a success coach.
• Establish and/or revise priorities for patient care.
• Respond to data indicating risk to patients’ health and initiate corrective actions.
• Seek supervision, consultation, and assistance when unable to perform safely and independently.
• Document in patients’ medical records.
