UC San Diego Health is seeking a New Grad Registered Nurse for the Emergency Services division on the East Campus Medical Center. This Nurse Residency Program cohort starts in March 2027 and offers a 90% appointment with nights and some day shifts; 12-hour shifts including Sundays.

Licensure and certifications are required by start date, with a focus on BLS, ACLS, PALS, and ART within six months. As a magnet-designated academic health system, UCSD Health supports transitional practice, hands-on

Qualifications

Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing.
California RN license by start date; interim permits may be considered.
Current BLS/CPR, ACLS, and PALS certifications at time of hire with commitment to ART within six months.
Licensure and certification are not required at time of application but will be required by cohort start date of March 5, 2027.
Must have less than six (6) months of working RN experience.
Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsabilités

Under general supervision, the New Grad RN identifies and implements nursing interventions and evaluates results for a wide variety of patient populations.
Directs and acts as resource to other members of the nursing team as assigned.
Promotes compliance and support of policies.
Achieves trust in professional collegial relationships.
