Job summary

Northwestern Medicine seeks a New Grad RN to support rooming and triage in our Physician Group. We are seeking an RN with less than 1 year of experience for this role, joining a patient-centered team dedicated to high-quality care.

The staff nurse will deliver care from assessment through discharge, follow ANA standards, and participate in education, safety, and continuous improvement initiatives within a collaborative hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Current experience (within past five years) or new nursing graduate (within past two years).
• State Licensed Registered Nurse for State of employment.
• CPR - Basic Life Support.

Responsibilities

• Performs all aspects of patient care by utilizing evidenced based practice to optimize patient safety.
• Follows the six medication rights and reduces the potential for medication errors.
• Develops, implements and updates an individualized plan of care for each patient.
• Educates patient and family and involves them in the care plan.
• Participates in quality improvement activities and practice/department projects.
