Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina (ART PACU) in Charleston is seeking a Registered Nurse I (New Graduate) to support post-anesthesia recovery. The unit provides care for a diverse adult population across multiple surgical service lines and operates 24/7 with a nightly closure 7:30pm–7:30am on Sundays.

Shifts are 3x12 hours, with 36 scheduled hours per week. minimum requirements include SC RN licensure (or compact state), and BLS certification; a BSN is preferred, with ADN/Diploma required to

Qualifications

• RN licensure in SC or compact state
• Current BLS required
• Bachelor of Nursing degree preferred; ADN/Diploma must be enrolled in BSN within 2 years and BSN within 4 years of hire

Responsibilities

• Under general supervision, the New Graduate RN provides individualized, goal-directed care to patients and families using the nursing process.
• Collaborates with the health care team to achieve outcomes.
• Performs duties across post-anesthesia recovery with attention to ERAS, pain control, and respiratory/hemodynamic stability.
