Job summary

Cleveland Clinic is seeking a New Grad RN Surgery Resident for the Operating Room at Fairview Hospital in Cleveland, OH. You will provide nursing care to patients undergoing surgery and develop your skills in a supportive environment as part of a residency program.

Highlights include full-time day shift with a pay range of $36 to $56 per hour. New graduates or those with less than one year of RN experience are encouraged to apply; a current RN license and BLS are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (Diploma, ADN or BSN) is required.
• New grad or less than one year RN work experience required.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross is required.

Responsibilities

• Participate in a residency core curriculum based on surgery core learning needs.
• Provide direct nursing care alongside a coach.
• Establish and/or revise priorities for patient care.
• Respond to data indicating risk to patients' health and initiate action to correct, reduce or prevent risk.
• Seek supervision, consultation, and assistance when unable to perform safely and independently.
• Document in patients' medical records.
