Job summary

Gundersen Health System in Wisconsin is offering a Nurse Residency/Orientation Program for Fall/Winter 2026 RN graduates aiming for a career in the Operating Room. The program features immersion shifts in the Orthopedic Unit, with orientation across departments to prepare you for the OR environment.

You will work in a fast-paced Surgery Department with a 19-operating room facility, a Level 2 Trauma Center, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum of an Associate degree in Nursing; RN licensure to practice in Wisconsin.
• Current Infant-Adult Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers.
• Prior perioperative experience is a plus.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Participate in OR orientation and immersion shifts in the Orthopedic Unit to build foundational nursing skills.
• Support the Surgery Department with patient care during operational procedures and post-anesthesia activities.
