Job summary

University of Maryland Medical System's Magnet-designated facility in downtown Baltimore is seeking a New Graduate Nurse (CN I) for the Bone Marrow Transplant Unit on the night shift. This full-time role provides residency and orientation to prepare for independent practice within a multidisciplinary team.

You will deliver direct patient care, conduct assessments, implement care plans, and collaborate with physicians, nurses, and support staff to ensure safe, evidence-based treatment.

Qualifications

• Maryland RN license or Compact State eligibility required.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN/BSN) with NCLEX eligibility; must pass NCLEX within 90 days.
• Current BLS certification required (AHA) or Red Cross equivalent.
• Specialty life support certifications (ACLS/PALS/NRP) required within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments and develop care plans.
• Provide safe, timely patient care with clinical reasoning.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team and educate patients about treatments.
• Safely administer medications and monitor effects.
• Maintain safe environment adhering to safety protocols and document events.
• Demonstrate professional accountability and pursue continuing education.
