Job summary

Hugh Chatham Health, Inc. is seeking a dedicated registered nurse for a full-time night shift in the Med/Surg unit. The RN will provide comprehensive patient care, collaborate with the care team, and adhere to evidence-based practices to ensure safety and quality for all patients.

The role requires strong clinical judgment, effective communication, and proficiency with electronic health records. 36 hours per week, three shifts per week, with a pay range of $38.20–$57.30 per hour.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active RN license with privileges to practice in the state(s) where the RN is providing client nursing services.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; additional certifications may be required by specialty.

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit councils, professional governance and quality initiatives to improve care and apply evidence-based practices.
• Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate nursing care and engages patients and families.
• Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans, and collaborates with the care team to influence outcomes.
• Upholds and promotes a culture of safety and maintains accurate, timely EHR documentation.
• May administer medications, treatments, and therapies according to protocols.
• Demonstrates effective communication, delegation, and teamwork; pursues professional development.
