UNC Health is hiring new graduate nurses for a yearlong transition-to-practice pathway designed to move into Emergency Department roles. The program emphasizes mentorship, structured orientation, and interdisciplinary collaboration in a fast-paced 25-bed Medical Observation Unit.

Rotating day/night shifts and weekends provide comprehensive clinical exposure. Relocation assistance up to $10,000 may be offered, and NC RN licensure is required before start.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• RN license must be obtained prior to first day of employment.
• Final semester students or graduates within the past 12 months are eligible for the residency pathway.

Responsibilities

• Provide competent clinical nursing care in a hospital setting.
• Coordinate and deliver patient care using the nursing process.
• Participate in unit education, mentorship, and multidisciplinary collaboration.
