Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• BLS certification required; licensure to practice in state(s) specified.
• RN license with multi-state compact or single-state license to practice.
• BSN preferred for the role.

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit councils, governance, and quality initiatives to improve care and apply evidence-based practices.
• Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate care, engaging patients and families.
• Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans, mobilizes resources, and collaborates with the care team to influence outcomes.
• Upholds and promotes a culture of safety.
• Evaluates outcomes and takes action as needed.
• May administer medications, treatments, and therapies per clinical protocols.
• Demonstrates effective communication, feedback, and appropriate delegation.
• Pursues professional development and maintains required certifications.
• Adheres to ANA Code of Ethics and respects interdisciplinary roles.
• Delegates to RNs, LPNs, and unlicensed personnel.
• Maintains accurate, timely EHR documentation.
• May float to other units or facilities within the service area.
