Job summary

Qualifications

• Requires a Diploma, Associate or Bachelor's degree from an accredited Nursing Program.
• Active New York State RN license in good standing.
• New graduates eligible for the Med/Surg residency program.

Responsibilities

• Functions as a new graduate nurse with less than one year of experience.
• Under the direction of the Nurse Manager, continues to build competency in the provision of direct patient care.
• Contributes to unit activities and supports enhancement of the care delivery system at the unit level.
• Nurses must have less than one-year prior experience in acute care and plan for a two-year commitment upon completion of the residency program.
