Northwest Texas Healthcare System in Amarillo seeks a Registered Nurse to provide safe, competent nursing care and professional leadership within a patient-centered care model. You will support the healthcare team, deliver education to patients and families, and uphold high standards of safety and quality across units.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program.
• Current Texas nursing license.
• BLS certification by the American Heart Association (or obtained during orientation).
• De-escalation training within 90 days of hire.
• NRP within 3 months of hire and maintain certification.
• STABLE within 6 months of hire; renewal every 2 years.
• 90% score on neonatal medication exam with remediation available.

• Develops, implements, and evaluates an age-appropriate plan of care using the nursing process, clinical skills and patient education.
• Maintains professional behavior when dealing with issues or conflicts, utilizing appropriate resources as needed.
• Provides a safe environment for patients, families, visitors, and employees.
• Assesses risks to patient safety and implements appropriate precautions.
• Complies with organization and accrediting standards.
• Adheres to patient-centered care delivery model as foundation for all nursing care.
