Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking a Nursing Graduate to join the hemodialysis team. The position operates under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse while working toward obtaining a nursing license within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities include vascular access evaluation, pre/post-dialysis assessments, initiating dialysis per orders, monitoring patient responses, documenting in health records, and performing prescribed lab work. Travel between facilities may be required.

Qualifications

• Must obtain nursing license within 90 days of employment.
• Graduate from an accredited nursing program within the past 12 months is required.

Responsibilities

• Performs vascular access evaluation pre-treatment.
• Records Pre- and Post-dialysis evaluation, weight and vital signs with initial identification.
• Initiates dialysis treatment per physician orders including QB and QD.
• Monitors patient response to dialysis therapy and reports changes to nurse supervisor.
• Documents treatment data in the patient health record and clinical application.
• Performs and documents interventions for unusual patient status.
• Obtains prescribed lab testing and prepares specimens for collection.
