Job summary

Hugh Chatham Health seeks an experienced RN for our 26‑bed Cardiovascular ICU, providing specialized monitoring for cardiothoracic/vascular surgical patients. You will engage in quality initiatives, monitor patients, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, evidence-based care.

This role requires active RN licensure, BLS, and a BSN (preferred). Expect 36 hours per week in a hospital setting with a competitive pay range and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a nursing program with licensure as RN.
• Active RN license in the state(s) of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit councils, governance and quality initiatives to improve care and apply evidence-based practices.
• Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate care, engaging patients and families across the continuum.
• Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans, mobilizes resources, and collaborates with the care team to influence outcomes.
• Upholds and promotes a culture of safety.
• May administer medications and therapies per clinical protocols and procedures.
• Demonstrates effective communication, feedback, and appropriate delegation to team members.
• Pursues professional development and maintains required certifications.
• Maintains accurate, timely EHR documentation.
• May float to other units within the service area to meet patient care needs.
