Job summary

UNC Health Hillsborough Hospital is hiring New Graduate Nurses to join our Critical Care Unit in Winter 2027. This 36 hour/week position includes day/night and weekend rotation, and is part of the UNC Medical Center Residency Program, offering mentored clinical relationships to support transition from school to practice.

Applicants should be in their final nursing school semester or have graduated within the last 12 months, hold an NC RN license, and have less than 6 months RN experience.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a school of professional nursing.
• Must be licensed as an RN in North Carolina by start date.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Education: identify learning needs and use patient education materials.
• Evaluation of care: identify outcomes and coordinate with the team.
• Implementation: care for complex patients and manage priorities.
• Planning: collaborate with patient/family to plan care.
