Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Akron General is seeking a Graduate RN for our Nurse Residency program in Akron. You will provide direct nursing care on nights, collaborate with a success coach, and participate in a year-long residency with 9 tracks.

The role supports patient-centered care and professional growth within a world-class health system. Minimum qualifications include ADN/BSN, RN license, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing (ADN or BSN)
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• New grad or less than one year RN work experience or transitioning to acute direct care

Responsibilities

• Participate in residency core curriculum based on learning needs
• Provide direct nursing care alongside a success coach
• Establish and/or revise priorities for patient care
• Respond to data indicating risk to patients’ health and initiate corrective action
• Seek supervision and assistance when unable to perform safely and independently
• Document in patients’ medical records
