UNC Medical Center is seeking a New Graduate RN for the 5 East Acute Burn and Wound Care Unit in Chapel Hill, NC. This full-time role is 36 hours per week with day/night and weekend rotation and flexible self-scheduling.

Eligible applicants have RN licensure in NC and will join a supportive, interdisciplinary team. New graduates or those within 12 months of graduation should anticipate a comprehensive benefits package and extensive clinical training opportunities as they begin their nursing

Qualifications

  • RN license in North Carolina before starting work.
  • New graduate in final nursing school semester or within 12 months of graduation.
  • Licensed to practice in NC by start date and BLS for Healthcare Providers.

Responsibilities

  • Provide competent clinical nursing care in a 36-hour work week unit.
  • Participate in patient education and interdisciplinary rounds.
  • Coordinate care, prioritize tasks, and ensure safe discharge planning.
  • Demonstrate adaptability in a rotating day/evening/weekend schedule.
  • Contribute to quality and performance improvement on the unit.
