Envision Energy in Burlington, MA (Greater Boston) is hiring an entry-level Process Engineer to join our electrolyzer manufacturing team. Start dates offered January 2027 or June 2027, on-site, with up to 15% travel including international.

You will own real parts of how stacks are built, writing procedures, mapping processes, and solving production issues alongside seasoned engineers. You’ll gain hands-on experience across process, quality, design, materials, and electrochemistry, while

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in relevant engineering field completed between December 2026 and May 2027.
• Hands-on engineering experience through internships, co-ops, research labs, senior design / capstone projects, or engineering student teams.
• Solid engineering fundamentals (thermodynamics, materials, mechanical design, or electrochemistry).
• Clear written and verbal communication, including writing technical documentation.
• Curious, organized, and comfortable in a fast-paced, hands-on lab and production environment.
• Genuine interest in clean energy, hydrogen, or climate technology.

Responsibilities

• Support process and manufacturing engineering for electrolyzer stack assembly, from incoming components to finished stacks.
• Write and maintain SOPs, work instructions, and PFDs that production teams use daily.
• Partner with Quality to define inspection criteria and test methods for parts and stacks.
• Troubleshoot production issues and participate in RCA/CAPA.
• Collect and analyze data to improve yield, cycle time, throughput, and reliability.
• Work with design engineers to improve stack and component designs for manufacturability (DFM).
• Collaborate with materials scientists and chemists on new process development and scale-up.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and lean manufacturing projects (5S, standard work, waste reduction).
• Travel occasionally (up to 15%), including internationally, to work with global teams.
