Job summary

Envision Energy in Burlington, MA is seeking a new graduate Mechanical Engineer to join our electrolyzer engineering team. You will take designs from CAD to prototype, test components, and help scale stacks and systems for manufacturing.

Ideal candidates have a degree in mechanical engineering, hands-on shop experience, and strong communication across cross-functional teams. This role offers on-site work, relocation support, and growth in clean hydrogen technology.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical or related field, completed between Dec 2026 and May 2027.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD — Creo preferred; experience with SolidWorks, NX, Inventor, or Fusion 360.
• Understanding of fabrication methods and trade-offs from prototype to high-volume production.
• Hands-on shop experience with mill, lathe, 3D printer, laser cutter, etc.
• Internships, co-ops, or project teams demonstrating hands-on engineering work.
• Clear cross-functional communication with engineers, technicians, and suppliers.
• Curiosity, organization, and comfort in fast-paced lab and production.

Responsibilities

• Design components for water electrolyzer stacks using 3D CAD.
• Build, test, and iterate prototypes; improve performance and cost.
• Scale stacks from lab to production; design fixtures and tooling.
• Create drawings with GD&T, BOMs, and design records.
• Collaborate with systems team to design test stations and perform testing.
• Investigate failures and perform root-cause analysis.
• Improve FAT methods for stacks and systems.
• Partner with supply chain and vendors on prototyping and DFM.
• Travel up to 15%, including international collaboration.
