Reading Hospital is offering a Nurse Exploration Program for new graduate nurses. This 12-month, mentored program provides a solid nursing foundation on the R3S Med/Surg unit, with opportunities to shadow three specialty units as you plan your career path.

Participants will deliver high-quality nursing care, perform tests and administer medications within RN scope, and promote patient independence through education. The program emphasizes mentorship and measured skill development for new grads.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
• PA Registered Nurse Temporary Practice Permit or RN License or RN License.

Responsibilities

• Delivers nursing care through evaluation, planning, implementation, and documentation.
• Performs tests and administers medications within the RN scope.
• Promotes patient independence by setting care goals and teaching patients and families.
• Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
• Works on the R3S Med/Surg unit with dedicated mentors; shadowing on three specialty units later in the program.
