New Graduate RN Residency, Medical-Surgical (36 hours, Perm Night or Day-Night depending on unit availability)

St. Elizabeth's Medical Center has developed a comprehensive new graduate nurse transition to practice program incorporating the Nurse of the Future Nursing Core Competencies. New graduate nurses are hired into cohorts and progress through nursing orientation together. They receive individualized education with preceptors on their units, along with educational days over 6 months, fostering mentorship, camaraderie, and experiential learning.
Opportunities Are Available In the Following Areas
The preferred candidate has graduated from nursing school within twelve (12) months before their hire date. The role involves nursing assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation, and care coordination for patients and families across the healthcare continuum. The registered nurse is responsible for clinical, educational, quality, and fiscal patient care outcomes, following the model of care designed by the nursing department and adhering to agency policies, procedures, protocols, guidelines, and standards of practice. Reports to the Unit Nurse Manager.
