Job summary

Mercy invites new graduate RNs to join the Labor & Birth Nursing residency program at Mercy Hospital St. Louis, the largest birthing center in the St. Louis region. You will receive immersive learning, mentorship, and hands-on clinical experience to launch your career in women's and infant health.

New Graduate Nurses Welcome with a 16-week Nurse Residency designed to help you transition from student to professional RN while gaining confidence and clinical proficiency in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program (ADN, Diploma, or BSN).
• Current RN License or eligibility for licensure in Missouri.
• BLS Certification through the American Heart Association (or obtained within 30 days).

Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, evidence-based patient care.
• Develop and manage individualized patient care plans.
• Assess, monitor, and respond to changing patient conditions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams.
• Conduct bedside handoffs and patient safety reporting.
• Educate patients and families throughout their care journey.
• Utilize diagnostic, laboratory, and fetal monitoring data.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
• Support professional growth through ongoing education and certifications.
• Serve as a patient advocate while promoting exceptional outcomes.

Education

Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program (ADN, Diploma, or BSN)
