Job summary

Shermco Industries, a leader in electrical testing and field services, invites new graduates to join our Houston Field Services team. As a New Grad Field Service Technician, you will perform on-site electrical testing, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting for systems from 480V upward, helping data centers stay reliable and safe.

This full-time role requires a valid driver’s license, local/region travel, and a commitment to safety.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in EPC or related field is preferred.
• Experience with switchgear testing is a plus.
• Proficient PC skills including Excel.
• PowerDB experience is a plus.
• Willingness to travel locally.

Responsibilities

• On-site electrical testing, installations, and troubleshooting.
• Routine maintenance and inspections of electrical equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical issues in switchgear and relays.
• Communicate with clients and respond to inquiries.
• Document service reports and equipment changes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on improvements.
