Job summary

Emergency Veterinary Care Centers (EVCC) in Highland, just 30 minutes from downtown Chicago, seeks newly graduated Emergency Veterinarians to excel in emergency medicine. Your mentorship is tailored to your learning style and goals with a clear development timeline.

You will participate in a structured 12‑month program, starting with hands‑on guidance, then overlapping shifts with other associate DVMs, and finally a mix of solo and collaborative work.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AVMA-accredited Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) program.
• Possesses state veterinary license in good standing or eligible to obtain one.
• Excellent problem‑solving and ability to think quickly on your feet.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and compassionate bedside manner with clients and patients.

Responsibilities

• Engage in a structured mentorship program for new graduates.
• Provide emergency veterinary care under supervision.
• Collaborate with EVCC team across locations for support and development.
• Attend case discussions, rounds, and training days as part of the mentorship.
