Job summary

HNTB, with offices in Columbia and North Charleston, SC, is seeking a New Grad Engineer I in Structures and Roadway to assist in producing and modifying design calculations, reports, plans, and specifications for assigned projects. You will collaborate with the project team, applying engineering techniques and design criteria using modern drawing tools to support execution.

The role offers exposure to diverse infrastructure projects and opportunities to grow within an employee-owned firm.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Proficiency with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD.
• Strong engineering fundamentals appreciated.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned work within the schedule and hours provided.
• Assist in preparing project reports, plans, designs, and calculations.
• Support the preparation of project quantities and cost estimates.
• Help organize and maintain design files for engineering teams.
• Assist in data collection, field investigations, and design development for projects.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
